The Consortium of National Law Universities has released a video listing out the key points which candidates appearing for the exams need to include in their exam day strategy for appearing in the CLAT 2021 examinations. The CLAT 2021 exams are scheduled to be conducted on July 23, 2021, in the official mode. Key points to remember when appearing for CLAT 2021 Exams

Students appearing for the examinations are required to follow the COVID-19 protocols issued for the safety of the students by wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Students with a temperature above 99.14 are required to take the exams in a separate room.

According to the information provided the students appearing for the examinations must make sure that they carry a government-issued photo ID for identification at the exam centre along with the Admit Card issued for the CLAT 2021 exams. 

Students appearing for the examinations have also been advised to read through the instructions provided on the question paper and answer booklet before attempting the examinations.

Marking Scheme

Students appearing for the exams are to answer a total of 150 questions within a duration of 120 minutes. Students are hence advised to make sure that they manage their time in an appropriate manner so that they can complete the examinations. Candidates must also note that a negative marking of 0.25 will be applied for each incorrect answer.

Students are required to report to the examination centre at 1 PM as entry will not be allowed after 2:15 PM. The examinations will commence at 2 PM and the question paper will be distributed at 1:50 PM. students when filling the answer sheets are required to use a blue or black pen to circle the correct options. 

A rough space for rough work will be provided in the question booklet so students are advised not to write anything else anywhere in the question paper except for the space provided. Students are also advised to check through the question paper for any damages and inform the invigilators to get a new question booklet and OMR sheet.

Students will be allowed to take the CLAT question booklet and the carbon copy of the OMR answer sheet after the completion of the examinations. The copy can be used to match the answers when the CLAT answer key is released.
